URGENT: ADOPTERS/FOSTERS NEEDED

Due to high intake and overcrowding, we are out of space and even more animals are at risk for euthanasia. We urgently need adopters and foster families to please help us save lives.

RABIES ALERT:
Residents in the area of Luxuria Court in Tucker should be aware that a RACCOON exposed to a family pet was captured on March 12, 2024. Test results later revealed the raccoon to be POSITIVE for RABIES.

A Letter from LifeLine's CEO

A reflection on the incredible progress and successes we have had in 2024, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.

DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) is managed by LifeLine Animal Project, Georgia’s largest animal welfare organization, which has turned the formerly high-kill DCAS shelter into a lifesaving facility. Our mission is to end the shelter euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals in Atlanta.

The funding that LifeLine receives from our county contract covers basic care of animals during the county’s mandated stray-hold periods, which is 3-5 days. Most of our lifesaving efforts, including emergency vet care for shelter pets, efforts to help people keep their pets, programs for animals with special needs and more, are paid for by grants and donations from our generous supporters. You can help by donating today!

LifeLine Animal Project is a registered 501(c)(3) and donations to LifeLine are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
